"Shield of Achilles" is a scam... it is for tourists, Iran humiliated Israel – The credit score for Greeks is an insidious plan

In essence, the "Shield of Achilles" will be deployed to protect Israeli... tourists in the Greek islands

Credit score and Shield of Achilles are two phrases we have been hearing very frequently lately... What are all these things, and how do they concern us?

The credit score assigned by algorithms is an insidious plan

Credit scoring or a credit score is based on an analysis of an individual's financial data to represent their overall creditworthiness. The fundamental objection here is that a credit score will be determined by an algorithm, which, as global experience proves, frequently makes errors. Included in this financial score are loans, credit cards, electricity accounts, mobile communications, insurance policies, and many other data points that verify a citizen's identity and payment consistency.

This entire framework is not innocent; as observed in China, when a citizen receives a negative rating on the evaluation scale, they lose access to numerous goods and services, left only with the bare minimum. In effect, multiple classes of citizens are created within a single society, and those receiving a negative credit score will remain hostages to personal lockdowns. We will end up living in an environment where the individual is held prisoner by a credit score, and this is inherently wrong. If credit scoring were applied rationally, it might hold some interest, but in Greece, we have seen many mechanisms distorted toward the far worse. Banks have always utilized credit score models, and in practice, these systems failed during times of financial crisis and high unemployment. Now, with widespread credit scoring, mobile phone providers, insurance companies, property owners, and government agencies will employ these exact same techniques.

What happens in other countries

Everyone's daily life will be dictated by a mathematical algorithm and the personal evaluation score each individual receives.

  1. In Australia, the credit score is utilized not only to determine whether a loan should be approved, but also to evaluate creditworthiness when setting limits on credit cards, in behavioral modeling such as debt collection assessments, and in pre-approving additional credit for a firm's existing customer base.

  2. In Austria, creditworthiness assessment is conducted through blacklists. Consumers who failed to pay bills end up on blacklists maintained by numerous entities.

  3. In Germany, Schufa, the primary provider of credit history records, supplies credit scores for approximately three-quarters of the German population, though not for immigrants.

  4. Today, the creditworthiness evaluation system in Brazil is very similar to that of the United States. A credit rating is a number based on a statistical analysis of an individual's credit files representing that person's financial reliability. It is a tool utilized to verify the likelihood that individuals will pay their bills on time. In Brazil, ratings range from 0 to 1000, indicating the probability that a specific consumer profile will settle their accounts over the next 12 months.

  5. In India, there are 4 credit information companies licensed by the Reserve Bank of India. The most widespread is the CIBIL credit score, a three-digit number representing a summary of an individual's credit history and evaluation. This score ranges from 300 to 900, with 900 being the highest evaluation. Individuals without a prior financial history receive a score of -1, while those with a history under six months receive a score of 0.

  6. Credit score evaluations are utilized across the entire credit sector in South Africa, with banks, micro-lenders, clothing retailers, furniture stores, specialized lenders, and insurance firms all employing credit ratings.

  7. Credit evaluation in the United Kingdom differs significantly from that of the United States and other nations. There is no such thing as a single universal credit rating in the UK. Every lender evaluates prospective borrowers based on its own internal criteria, and these proprietary algorithms are essentially trade secrets. The most popular statistical technique employed is logistic regression to predict a binary outcome: bad debt (meaning the borrower defaults on the loan) or not.

  8. In the United States, a credit score is a numerical metric based on a statistical analysis of an individual's credit files, determining the probability of people paying their bills on time. Empirical studies have shown that these scores are predictive of overall risk in evaluating both consumer credit and insurance policies.

Shield of Achilles is a massive scam

This is a well-staged deception... The $3.6 billion Shield of Achilles defense deal with Israel was presented in a flashy manner. It is allegedly a multi-layered defense to intercept drones and missiles, which raises the question: will Israel protect Greece with its technology when it failed to defend itself against attacks from Iranian missiles and drones? Consider a vital fact: the distance between Iran and Israel is 1,700 to 2,000 kilometers, giving satellites and radars ample time to prepare Israel's air defense, yet they failed despite the presence of American THAAD air defense systems. By contrast, the distance between Turkey and the island of Samos averages 20 kilometers—with the narrowest gap being just 2 kilometers—meaning if drones are launched, Samos is doomed as there is no reaction time.

The agreement, valued at 3.6 billion US dollars, represents the largest defense export deal in Israel's history, which smells of kickbacks. The Shield of Achilles encompasses Israeli David's Sling, BARAK MX, and SPYDER interceptors alongside Israeli radar units and a national command-and-control system designed to counter ballistic missiles, aircraft, heavy rockets, and drones. Rafael manufactures the David's Sling and SPYDER systems, while Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) produces the BARAK MX system. Israel will also construct a new national command-and-control framework, developed by Rafael, which will consolidate the full spectrum of air defense capabilities. This C2 network is engineered to integrate data from existing Greek sensors and radars with NATO standard intelligence from Greek F-16 and F-35 fighters, feeding directly into the Achilles system.

Systems that failed in real warfare

David's Sling is a medium-to-long-range air defense and missile defense system. It utilizes Stunner two-stage hit-to-kill interceptor missiles. David's Sling is designed to intercept tactical ballistic missiles, heavy rockets, cruise missiles, and aircraft at ranges of approximately 40 to 300 km. In the war with Iran, it failed. Operational since 2017, David's Sling sits within Israel's multi-tiered missile defense architecture between the short-range Iron Dome and the long-range exoatmospheric Arrow systems. The Barak MX is a land and naval defense system utilizing a family of vertically launched interceptors with active radar seekers, covering operational ranges from 15 to 150 km. This specific system received the lowest performance evaluation among all Israeli air defense systems. Meanwhile, SPYDER is a mobile short-to-medium-range system that launches adapted air-to-air missiles—specifically the infrared Python-5 and the active-radar Derby/I-Derby ER. It features an operational range of 15 to 40 km, offers high mobility, and is deployed to protect high-value targets. SPYDER batteries will be deployed on Greek islands, including popular holiday destinations frequented by numerous Israeli visitors. Thus, these defense systems are essentially traveling along with the Israeli tourists.
